The Geopods Project was set up by members of the Geography Department at the University of Leicester. The aim of this project was to create and develop a video podcast reference library of geographical field techniques. The podcasts provide comprehensive instructions on how to use common pieces of field equipment and explanations of appropriate field techniques. The podcasts cover a range of methods that are widely used across the environmental sciences and fall under the general headings of water quality, soil properties, atmospheric variables, surveying techniques and mobile technology: Instructions and advice. |

Note: The initial library was developed as a resource for the University of Leicester and therefore some podcasts are equipment specific. However, if you are interested in creating your own podcasts to add to this library we would be happy to provide templates or advice if needed, please contact us. The creation of the initial library was funded by the University of Leicester Teaching Enhancement Forum, and constructed in association with the JISC-GEES Impala 2 project. |
